Inspired by his short film Envol, Look-Up aerial arts presents a vertical dance number on the themes of encounter, perspectives and evolution.

Envol aims to evoke the feeling of freedom and well-being experienced through the practice of vertical dance. Inhabiting a chosen communal space for a moment, these birds defy gravity while simultaneously enhancing the architecture with a powerful and sensitive artistic statement.

This work offers a larger-than-life aspect, provokes surprising kinesthetic sensations, and offers a most inspiring poetry.

The current work, which can be performed by 2 to 4 artists, lasts 9 minutes. Depending on the time available for adaptation at the venue, it is possible to extend the performance to 15 minutes.

Vertical dance is an extraordinary medium for highlighting a shared space from a new perspective. The period of adaptation to the location allows us to create a site-specific work, inspired and rooted in the chosen public space.

The possible surfaces for use are very variable; facade of a building, rock face, structure of a bridge, trees… and are chosen following discussions with the broadcaster and a technical visit of the site.
